What is the second most habitable place to humans other than earth inside the solar system?

This might not come as a surprise, but yeah let’s be true, it’s Mars. Mars Has its own pros and cons for survival, here’s the list:

PROS:

1) Similarity In Rotation Period: A day on Mars is just 37 mins longer than a day on Earth.

2) Similarity in Axial Tilt: mars is tilted 25 degrees while earth is tilted 23.5 degrees. So, yeah mars has seasons similar to Earth!

3) Proximity to Earth: we’ll go to mars once we have a base on the moon, and the moon base will be used to send rockets to mars, as its the closest “semi-habitable planet” to Earth. (Venus isn’t a contender)

CONS:

1) Radiation: due to lack of a thick atmosphere and magnetic field

2) Low energy: mars is further away from the sun as the earth, so we’ll only get as much as 40% as much power from solar panels. The atmosphere is too thin for any wind power.

3) No Oxygen: I think you don’t need an explanation with this one.

4) Severely cold temperatures: temperatures on the red planet go as down as -60 Celsius
