The so called “dark side of the moon” is just another myth that needs to be busted.

In reality, the “dark side” is actually the “far side” of the moon that humans cannot see from the earth. Our satellite takes about 27.3 days to complete 1 revolution around the Earth and 29.5 days to rotate on it’s own axis.

Such similarity between the 2 figures leads to only 57% of the moons surface being visible from Earth.
